From the Dublin Tech Summit: My Talk on Best Practices for Successful Entrepreneurs

Earlier this year, I felt honored to present a talk at the Dublin Tech Summit on “Best Practices for Successful Entrepreneurs.” While there is no one how-to guide for assuring a new company’s success, sharing my experiences as an entrepreneur enables those striking out on their own to learn lessons from my journey as well as strategies from the companies described in my presentation. Since “how do you do it?” is a frequent question that I am asked, this presentation offers some of the answers.

The Dublin conference also inspired a couple of articles featuring my advice as well as advice from other speakers and panelists. The Irish Times recently published their interview with me titled “How Do You Create a Successful Technology Entrepreneur?” I enjoyed talking with them, culminating with some advice for women starting out in tech careers. The same publication also offered “20 Learnings” from the summit, synthesizing some great advice from a wide array of business leaders.

If you’re a burgeoning entrepreneur, one of the best things you can do is to pay attention to conferences like the Dublin Tech Summit in which a lot of high tech leaders come together to share their experiences. Even if you’re not there in person, there are a wealth of talks online worth your time and attention so that you can learn and grow from the seeds that others have planted. It is my hope that listening to my Dublin talk will inspire you to think creatively about how to position yourself and your company for success.
